All these books were published through Messrs. Hotten and were not authorized by the author. This is one of these publications. Red boards in edge-worn condition and with some surface damage. Hinges are cracked but binding is holding. 256pp plus 259pp in 1 volume with ads at front and Very Important New Books, Special List for 1871 at rear. Some age-discolouration of contents with previous owner's name on top of title page and a stain at base of title page. Touch of foxing throughout.
