The King's Daughter - Hildegard of Bingen a medieval romance

In the spring of 1148, in a damp, obscure monastery in the Rhineland, a frail woman lies in her sickbed near unto death. She has been refused permission by her Abbot to leave and establish her own community and her book of divine visions languishes with her. She is Hildegard of Bingen. Reluctantly travelling towards the Abbey is the Archbishop of Mainz, charged with the mission of saving the much desired work of revelations. His journey will lead him to the centre of mystery where the prophet lies, crushed but powerful still.
