Jones has been an inveterate correspondent for years, so the letters in this volume represent only a small section from his files, covering the 12 years from 1970 to 1982. They begin with a typical Jonesian response to a cheeky request to use his private house for a public function, and finish with a very funny letter in response to an Air New Zealand advertisement.
