Elements of Anatomy (Volume 1 only)

Taylor, Walton and Maberly, London, 1848. Fifth edition. This volume has a presentation plate on the front marbled e/p. Prize for Physiology from the Middlesex Hospital School of Medecine, awarded to Robert Bakewell in 1852. There is an embossed gilt stamp on the front board from this school. This book was then presented to St Patricks College in 1886 and there is a library stamp inside. Contents are tight. There is some charring to the front corner and the top marbled page edges are blackened. This volume has been in a fire at some stage. Spine has been repaired tidily and there is general wear as you would expect from a book this old. But overall the book is in reasonably condition. This is a heavy book so please check postage with bookseller.
