This is the story of New Zealand at war from the mid 19th century to the present day. It is based on the Auckland Museum's permanent exhibition of the same name and examines the impact of war through the eyes of those involved using photographs, paintings, letters, diaries and the objects of war to give us a glimpse into what these wars were like for those who fought in them, and what effect they had on communities at the time, and on our society today.
