We Set Out One Morning Works from the BNZ Art Collection
Published by Private Bank Bank of New Zealand, Auckland, 2006. Hardcover, Dust jacket good condition.
Between 1982 and 1987 the Bank of New Zealand Art Collection grew to contain nearly 500 paintings, photographs, prints and ceramics - among them some of the most important works of art produced in this country. With Wellington gallerist Peter McLeavey as advisor, the Bank built a collection based on a sense of adventure, curiosity and a desire to bring together works of art that embodied both the spirit of contemporary New Zealand and of the pioneering era leading up to the present. Among the highlights of the collectionae works by Nicholas Chevalier, Colin McCahon, Robin White, M.T. Woollaston, Ralph Hotere, Philip Clairmont, Gordon Walters, Milan Mrkusich, Tony Fomison, Laurence Aberhart and Robin Morrison.
