When Feeding the Hungry Multitudes

The author has been involved in the preparation of food since the age of fifteen. At nineteen he went into the RNZAF and spent ten yers in this service, getting a wide variety of experience in cooking and administrating for small and large numbers of officers and airmen.

In 1948 he went into a bakery business in the town of Temuka. For the next twenty years there was never a dull moment. The bakery thrived and became widely known for the quality bread, cakes, catering, pasties, pies and especially the Golden Flake pastry.
