Stag (Neville) Spooner was a hunter and deer culler in the 1930s who kept a detailed illustrated diary of his experiences. Stag Spooner combines a biography of Stag with a reproduction of his diary, along with a collection of decorated envelopes sent back to his family during WWII. This unique book gives a fascinating insight into a remarkable piece of Kiwi social history.
