Three Words - An Anthology of Aotearoa / NZ Women's Comics
Beatnik Publishing, 2016. Good secondhand condition.
THREE WORDS is an anthology of comics created by a vast spectrum of New Zealand?s female artists, writers, illustrators and zinemakers, showcasing the richness and diversity of our local comics scene.
The idea behind THREE WORDS is: each featured artists contributes three words that are then given to another contributor to create a comic and spin a story from. A tale for everyone; there are funny comics, sad comics, light-hearted jaunts through fanciful worlds and stories that delve deep to engage with emotion, intellect and a bit of everything in between.
The first book of its kind in New Zealand, THREE WORDS was created in response to the limited exposure and recognition given to talented local female comics artists and writers. It has received support from both local and international comic luminaries such as Tim Bollinger, Dylan Horrocks, Ant Sang, Matt Emery, John Weeks and Darren Schroeder.
