International University Reading Course : A Distinctive and Independent Library of Reference
International University Society's Reading Course Sections 1 through 10.
Light green cloth boards with titles in gilt on a dark green leather spine.
Good second-hand condition.
One of the most valuable aspects of the Course is its capacity to arouse interest in a number of subjects of real importance. Some readers will find this interest aroused by following the guidance of the authorities who have compiled our Brochures; others will prefer to spend occasional evenings rambling through a particular volume, enjoying the variety and subtle contrasts of the feast thus offered. As far as possible the lectures and addresses are arranged to suit both schools of thought; the former by limiting the number of Sections to which reference has to be made for answers to the questions in any particular brochure, while variety is offered to the reader who likes quiet browsing by the alphabetical arrangement of authors in each Section.
We do not claim that this new edition of our Reading Course is a perfect reflection of our purpose; but we are confident that it approaches nearer still to the ideal for which we continue to strive.
