A Dentist at Large

In 1862 a venturesome young man from Ireland settle din New Zealand with his wife and infant son and for over a century the name of Hanan has been closely associated with the city of Invercargill. The city was represented in parliament for nearly sixty years by two descendents of that family. The last member of his generation has written 'Dentist At Large' which briefly depicts parts of the family life and relates a wide range of interesting incidents and experiences, at times amusing, at others tragic.
