Seaman's Voice
As a tough young man, Foulser, born within sight of London's docks, first went to sea. The now vanished sailing-barges - red sails in the sunset - were his introduction to the seaman's life and he learned his trade handling these bulky vessels along the Thames and around England's coastline. Afterwards he shipped out deepsea and has lived a life of adventure and struggle ever since. Besides being a thorn in the proud flesh of shipowners and of conformist trade union leaders - whether in Britain, the States or Australia - Foulser has learned how to give and take with the best in the comradeship of the sea-going community.
