These writings range over Aunty Mihi's childhood and later memories, through social and environmental comment, to her experiences over the last decades when she has gained widespread respect and become a guiding presence in Aotearoa. Now 84, her understandings of spiritual and cultural matters, especially in the rituals of a the karanga, are recognised in her own iwi groups, at marae near her Wellington home, and beyond. Aunty Mihi has connections with all tribes of Aotearoa.
