A World Remembered

An exquisite, 157-page book, decorated with pictorial endpapers, beautiful full-colour illustrations by the author's mother, and drawings throughout by John Hawkwood. Justine Chase was born in 1906. She studied dramatic art and became a leading lady on Broadway and was later seen with Basil Rathbone in the film production of Kind Lady. After World War II, she settled in England, where she and her English husband lived on a country estate. Here is a record of the author's early years in New England, growing up in two very special houses in Connecticut.
