A Family Successfully Raised

Jones is such an unremarkable family name, but the tale that lies behind the Jones family from the homestead near the top of the winding Warea Road is indeed remarkable.

Maori have a saying that is often heard at tangihanga, 'Kua tupu te paa harakeke' (the flax plantation is growing). This means that a family is being successfully raised.
