William Story, son of John and Mary (Lambert) Story, left Adby Farm Yorkshire, with his three sons William, Charles and Arthur for New Zealand. His wife Sarah stayed in Yorkshire with their three girls, Mary, Alice, Clara and baby Fred. William and the boys sailed on the Canterbury ... October 1863. Sarah was to follow when William had a place ready for them. Although she contemplated it, Sarah never did board a ship for New Zealand. The Story family was connected across the world for the next thirty years by Sarah's and William's detailed and affectionate letters. With letters, photos and storytelling, this book tells the story of the Story Family and their descendents in Yorkshire and New Zealand from 1790-2014.
