A Life of Ups and Downs

Laurie Coon was born in the north of London in 1910. His colourful recollections of an English childhood in the early years of the 20th century conjure up a world now lost. Laurie's life spans the era from teh horse and trap right up to the time of cellphones and DVDs.
Laurie served in WW II and his book includes a first-hand account of that experience. His wartime adventures gave him a taste for travel, and many of his voyages with his wife Olive are described in detail.
