What's New - New and exciting titles in this week at Arty Bees
Fictional Fun for the frigid weather...
Big Fat Epic Science Fiction (the books are "Big and Fat" not the authors) include lots of
Kim Stanley Robinson, Harry Turtledove and Robert Heinlein
Thick Classic Fantasy - some of the MUST have authors (also the books are "thick" not the authors "if you were as thick as a Robert Jordan novel you wouldn't be able to tie your own shoes") including
L E Modesitt, Juliette Mariller, Kate Elliot, Robert Jordan, Raymond E Feist and David Eddings.
General Fiction goodies, great for couch potato winter reading include, Bryce Courtenay, Ben Elton, Catherine Alliot, Louise Bagshawe
We've had so many Detective books to baffle and bother your brain, that Imogen had to shuffle entire shelves to make them fit! Check out Tami Hoag, Karen Slaughter, Kellermans.. wives, husbands AND sons.. Jonathan, Jesse and Faye!
Lots of yummy Modern Literature and Literature has come in and has been keeping the guys busy with shelving - the section is soooo big now (over 200 linear metres - a fifth of a kilometre if we laid it out in one long line!) we have considered having brandy carrying St Bernards wandering in the aisle looking for mislaid customers.
Gems include Vonnegut, Aldous Huxley, and A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace (the first of his titles to come through the door since he killed himself).
