Lots of new Science Fiction is exploding onto the floor - We like to call this the Book Bang Theory.
Some say that eventually it will stop expanding and then start it's slow inevitable collapse inward, others say it will continue to expand outward until it rips everything apart at a sub-molecular level.
Either way we're screwed and it's a big mess.
Some of the goodies involved in this recipe for apocalyptic universal destruction are
Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat series, Tom Holt, Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, Anansi Boys and American Gods, and the puppet master himself, Robert Heinlen.
